1. ____________ THE MISSION
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in
Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8

When they heard these things, they were enraged and gnashed their teeth at him. Stephen, full of the
Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven. He saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. He
said, “Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!” They
yelled at the top of their voices, covered their ears, and together rushed against him. They dragged him
out of the city and began to stone him. And the witnesses laid their garments at the feet of a young man
named Saul. While they were stoning Stephen, he called out: “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!” He knelt
down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” And after saying this, he
died. Acts 7:54-60

Saul agreed with putting him to death. On that day a severe persecution broke out against the church in
Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout the land of Judea and Samaria. Devout
men buried Stephen and mourned deeply over him. Saul, however, was ravaging the church. He would
enter house after house, drag off men and women, and put them in prison. So those who were
scattered went on their way preaching the word. Acts 8:1-4

2. ____________- THE MISSION
Immediately he began proclaiming Jesus in the synagogues: “He is the Son of God.” Acts 9:20

Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called
Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen, a close friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they were worshiping
the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I
have called them.” Then after they had fasted, prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them off. So
being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus. Acts
13:1-4

3. _______________ THE MISSION
But I consider my life of no value to myself; my purpose is to finish my course and the ministry I received
from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

4. ____________________ TO THE MISSION
But Paul and Barnabas shook the dust off their feet against them and went to Iconium. And the disciples
were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:51-52

5. ______________________ THE MISSION
Just one thing: As citizens of heaven, live your life worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come
and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, in one accord,
contending together for the faith of the gospel… Philippians 1:27

And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment, so that
you may approve the things that are superior and may be pure and blameless in the day of Christ, filled
with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 1:9-11

So then, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, being rooted and built up
in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude. Colossians
2:6-7
