Pastor Daniel Cassels, his wife Hannah, children Jack, Allie and dog Sammi are new to the Santa Maria area. Daniel grew up in Washington State and Hannah in Globe, Arizona. Though this seems like worlds apart they met while Daniel was serving at Shadow Hills Baptist Church in Las Vegas Nevada. They were married January 06, 2006 and have served God as a family ever since. While attending the The College at Southwestern (a part of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary) in Fort Worth, Texas they felt a call to go into full time ministry on the west coast. This call brought them to the wonderful church of Life Way Fellowship in Santa Maria California in 2009. They love to serve God by serving people, fellowshiping, and sharing the Good News of Christ.

24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 25 For you were like sheep going astray, but you have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. 1 Peter 2:24–25
1. DEATH IS THE _______ OF SIN THE PROBLEM - God is perfectly holy, righteous and just in His nature; He cannot tolerate sin in any form. Human beings have the exact opposite nature of God - we are unholy, unrighteous, and unjust. We are separated spiritually from God forever.
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
6 All of us have become like something unclean, and all our righteous acts are like a polluted garment; all of us wither like a leaf, and our iniquities carry us away like the wind. Isaiah 64:6
23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
2. THE PROMISE REQUIRED AN _____________ DEATH THE PROVISION - Before the foundation of the world, God knew that we would need a Savior to bring us back into a relationship with Himself, so He planned to send His Son, Jesus, to die on our behalf. Anyone who would believe that Jesus was who He claimed to be and would put their trust in Him to save them, would be reconciled to God.
21 He made the one (Christ) who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21
3 What the law could not do since it was weakened by the flesh, God did. He condemned sin in the flesh by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh as a sin offering… Romans 8:3
8 But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
3. JESUS DIED SO I COULD __________ THE PROMISE - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit each guarantees that our salvation is secure. We can do nothing to lose our salvation since we did nothing to earn it. We may lose joy and fellowship with God if we do not obey Him, but the relationship cannot be destroyed.
18 For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God. He was put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit… 1 Peter 3:18
20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
22 But now, since you have been set free from sin and have become enslaved to God, you have your fruit, which results in sanctification— and the outcome is eternal life! Romans 6:22
13 And when you were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he made you alive with him and forgave us all our trespasses. Colossians 2:13
