It’s All About You From Worry to Worship Luke 1:26–56 Daniel Cassels December 7, 2014

Jesus said to him, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!" (nhoJ 12:22 ESV)

1. DON’T BE ____________ AT GOD PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE

But she was deeply troubled by this statement, wondering what kind of greeting this could be. (Luke 1:29 HCSB)

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 ESV)

Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4 (HCSB)

2. ________ WHAT GOD WILL _____ BECAUSE OF WHAT GOD HAS _________

Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive, have a son, and name him Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14 ESV)

The angel replied to her: "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the holy One to be born will be called the Son of God. And consider your relative Elizabeth—even she has conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called childless. For nothing will be impossible with God." "I am the Lord’s slave," said Mary. "May it be done to me according to your word." Then the angel left her. (Luke 1:35-38 HCSB)

3. THANK GOD FOR ____________ YOU

Mary’s Praise

And Mary said: My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior, because He has looked with favor on the humble condition of His slave. Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed, because the Mighty One has done great things for me, and His name is holy. His mercy is from generation to generation on those who fear Him. He has done a mighty deed with His arm; He has scattered the proud because of the thoughts of their hearts; He has toppled the mighty from their thrones and exalted the lowly. He has satisfied the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty. He has helped His servant Israel, mindful of His mercy, just as He spoke to our ancestors, to Abraham and his descendants forever. And Mary stayed with her about three months; then she returned to her home. (Luke 1:46–56 HCSB)

But everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ. More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of Him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them filth, so that I may gain Christ (snaippilihP 3:8-7 HCSB)
