John 20:26-29

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!" Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

1. THE REALITY OF THE RESURRECTION __________________ THE DISCIPLES’ RESOLVE.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me, even if he dies, will live. 26 Everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die — ever. Do you believe this?" (John 11:25-26 HCSB)

"Let us also go, that we may die with him" (John 11:16 HCSB)

"I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" (Mark 9:24 NIV)

"They were greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people, proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead" (Acts 4:2 NIV)

"With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all" (Acts 4:33 NIV)

2. THE REALITY OF THE RESURRECTION STRENGTHENED THE DISCIPLES’ _____________ WITH HIM.

3. THE REALITY OF THE RESURRECTION IS FOUND IN ______________ LIVES.

The restoration of their assignment teaches them:

1. to stay . . . together

2. to wait . . . for power

3. to trust . . . in God

4. to remember . . . God’s promises
