Pastor Daniel Cassels, his wife Hannah, children Jack, Allie and dog Sammi are new to the Santa Maria area. Daniel grew up in Washington State and Hannah in Globe, Arizona. Though this seems like worlds apart they met while Daniel was serving at Shadow Hills Baptist Church in Las Vegas Nevada. They were married January 06, 2006 and have served God as a family ever since. While attending the The College at Southwestern (a part of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary) in Fort Worth, Texas they felt a call to go into full time ministry on the west coast. This call brought them to the wonderful church of Life Way Fellowship in Santa Maria California in 2009. They love to serve God by serving people, fellowshiping, and sharing the Good News of Christ.

I don’t know if you have faced any opposition to you faith lately but you will. The unfortunate reality of these challenges is that many will often get the information from the media (movies, TV, books, etc…). We need to be ready to give a reason for the hope that we have from the Word of God. Today we start a sermon series called God is Not Dead. Let’s get ready to answer the challenges that are coming!

Believers in Jesus Christ are called to follow Him. This is not just to have Him lead us to a destination but to show us how to live as He did in our every day life! Jesus is our example in all we do. Let's walk together as we learn from Jesus our Example!

As Christ followers we know what God tells us to do but it just seems too simple. We hear around us all these better ways and it just doesn’t feel right. This is the moment where we need to Let Go & Let God. What is our trust in and where is our mind focused? Today we need Let Go(D)!

As we do life together as Christians we are called to be encouraged by those who have gone before, those that walk with us currently and encourage those around us. We are to stir each other up to live the life that God has called us too through the power that God has given us. Let's look to all these witnesses to be challenged all the more to live a life empowered by our God and for our God!

I give you a new command:  Love one another.  Just as I have loved you, you must love one another.  By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.  John 13:34-35

We are in full swing of the Christmas season and many of us are more than overwhelmed what we still need to get done. Yet, running around with all of those people and going to all the Christmas events, there are many that are overwhelmed with this feeling of loneliness. It’s not something that is shared with everyone but there is a dread of seeing, what seems to be, everyone else having fun together when we feel so alone. God has an answer to your feeling. He has the answer to your loneliness this Christmas! Come and worship our God that cares so much about us this Christmas!
