CONTENTMENT IT’S ALL GOOD Philippians 4:11 Daniel Cassels May 15, 2016

I don’t say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. Philippians 4:11 (HCSB)

1. PRAISE GOD FOR WHAT YOU __________

This is why I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing? Matthew 6:25 (HCSB)

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5 (ESV)

2. DON'T SEEK _____________ LIKE THE WORLD

I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content—whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need.

13 I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:12–13 (HCSB)

Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you. Therefore, we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Hebrews 13:5–6 (HCSB)

3. ___________ WANT IS NEVER ENOUGH BUT _______ PROVIDES MORE THAN ENOUGH

The one who loves money is never satisfied with money, and whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with income. This too is futile. Ecclesiastes 5:10 (HCSB)

We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 (HCSB)

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your care on Him, because He cares about you. 1 Peter 5:6–7 (HCSB)
