Indeed, I was guilty when I was born; I was sinful when my mother conceived me. Psalm 51:5 1. GOD’S MERCY IS NOT __________ 19 You will say to me, therefore, “Why then does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?” 20 But who are you, a mere man, to talk back to God? Will what is formed say to the one who formed it, “Why did you make me like this?” 21 Or has the potter no right over the clay, to make from the same lump one piece of pottery for honor and another for dishonor?  Romans 9:19–21
12 If he snatches something, who can stop him? Who can ask him, “What are you doing?” Job 9:12
16 You have turned things around, as if the potter were the same as the clay. How can what is made say about its maker, “He didn’t make me”? How can what is formed say about the one who formed it, “He doesn’t understand what he’s doing”?  Isaiah 29:16
15 For he tells Moses, I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. Romans 9:15
2. YOU ___________ GOD’S MERCY 22 And what if God, wanting to display his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much patience objects of wrath prepared for destruction? 23 And what if he did this to make known the riches of his glory on objects of mercy that he prepared beforehand for glory—24 on us, the ones he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles? Romans 9:22–24
4 Or do you despise the riches of his kindness, restraint, and patience, not recognizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? Romans 2:4
27 God wanted to make known among the Gentiles the glorious wealth of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27
16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
3. GOD’S MERCY IS _____ ALL BUT NOT_________ BY ALL 25 As it also says in Hosea, I will call Not my People, My People, and she who is Unloved, Beloved. 26 And it will be in the place where they were told, you are not my people, there they will be called sons of the living God. 27 But Isaiah cries out concerning Israel, Though the number of Israelites is like the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved; 28 since the Lord will execute his sentence completely and decisively on the earth.” 29 And just as Isaiah predicted: If the Lord of Hosts had not left us offspring, we would have become like Sodom, and we would have been made like Gomorrah. Romans 9:25–29
29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too… Romans 3:29
8 For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—9 not from works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8–9
